This reel lives up to the hype. Extremely smooth right out the box. Was some what worried about ordering a “international” model. Saved around $90 ordering through Amazon. I try to support my local tackle shops but saving $100 bucks, I just couldn’t justify spending that much extra when this was available through seamar. Reel arrived in perfect condition, original box from penn, and with all the components that are described on Penns site. Fished with it tonight and was quite impressed with performance and drag quality. Pulled one flounder on it and looking to tackle some reds this fall with it in both the inshore/flats along with some surf action for Mack’s and Sahara. Overall happy with the purchase.

Probably the best reel I have owned. Penn 4500 slammer IV. Holds more line, more drag, than most reels that size. One issue with one reel was a bail line bearing. It was replaced by Penn, Pure Fishing.
